We are just about down to the playoffs. With one more day of games left before the playoffs start, a betting man needs to start thinking about where the smart bet is for the Gold medal game. Wait to bet if you think an underdog will win: your odds will only get better as time passes. Unlike the favourites, whose odds will only get worse, the underdog odds will only get better favour you more as time passes. This is because they are not expected to actually win the Gold. So the fact that they made it this far in the tournament means that they should be happy with where they got to and are essentially playing with house money.
